Full story: The Colombian Poker Federation (FCP) successfully completed its Professional Dealer Training Tour, a training tour that covered five cities across the country with the goal of professionalizing those involved in the poker ecosystem and positioning this mental sport as a technical, serious discipline with high development potential.
The training was delivered by Renato Baldi, a renowned dealer and professional player with experience in major international tournaments, who shared technical, operational, and strategic knowledge about the role of the dealer. In addition, participants received complementary content on key functions such as Floors, Floor Directors, and Coordinators, thus expanding their understanding of the structure of a professional tournament.
The tour began in Valledupar, where it received institutional support from Renata Rincón, Secretary of Recreation and Sports of Cesar, and Carlos Quijano, Vice President of Recreation for the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce, who recognized the value of this type of initiative for training and employability in the region.
In Barranquilla, participants highlighted the quality of the content and the experience of having learned directly from an international figure. The same was true in Cartagena, Medellín, and Bogotá, where the training was received with enthusiasm and commitment by attendees.
With this initiative, the FCP reaffirmed its commitment to technical training, the creation of job opportunities, and the structured growth of poker in Colombia, strengthening its position as a mental sport with institutional support.
The Federation continues to build bridges between the passion for poker and the professional development of those who are part of this ecosystem. This training was, without a doubt, a decisive step in that direction.
